Altar Servers | Monaguillos

Our Altar Server Ministry is open to children and youth between Grades 4 through 12. This is a unique way to participate in the Church by assisting the priest during Mass and other liturgical ceremonies, such as weddings or funerals. In serving the community this way, altar servers give of their time and talent and are expected to be appropriately prepared. Training and vestments are provided. Mass assignments, as in the scheduling of which time on Saturdays and Sundays, depends on both preference and need.

Ministry at the Holy Mass is always initiated by Christ, who calls all to be with him:
And people were bringing children to him that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.” Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them. (Mark 10:13-16) El ministerio en la Santa Misa siempre es iniciado por Cristo, quien llama a todos a estar con él:
Y le presentaban niños para que los tocase; y los discípulos reprendían a los que los presentaban. Viéndolo Jesús, se indignó, y les dijo: Dejad a los niños venir a mí, y no se lo impidáis; porque de los tales es el reino de Dios. Nuestro Ministerio de Monaguillos está aceptando a niños y jóvenes entre los grados 4 a 12. Esta es una forma de participar en la Iglesia ayudando al sacerdote durante la Misa y otras ceremonias litúrgicas, por ejemplo, bodas o funerales. Al servir a la comunidad de esta manera, los monaguillos dan de su tiempo y talento. Entrenamientos y vestimentas están disponibles por su convenencia. Las papeles de las misas, así como la programación de los sábados y domingos, depende tanto de la preferencia como de la necesidad.
